    New Year, New Website

    Welcome to my new website!

I started 2025 by planning the future of my website and I made the decision to make some changes… It was a complete system change so at this point we are fully talking about a new website.

As 2025 started, I already had a lot of ideas in my head and one was the new website. I was sure that I will need a new website as I was fed up with the old one’s system in the past month as it was a bit of a hassle to add new elements or sometimes even some minor changes could take up some time as it was a static system powered by HUGO. I like it very much and I don’t have any problems with it, but I think it is not for the purpose what I want in the future. So I started on planning what features will I need on the new website.

As I am planning on starting a new business as a secondary job and in the future I would like to make a webshop for it, it was obvious that I will need some kind of a system where I can easily manage the website’s and in the future the webshop’s content. Also I wanted to start blogging actively so it was another checkbox on my list.

I was sure that I was thinking of a CMS system and at first I wanted to make my own, however I realised that I would rather cut some time on the development this time and than focus on the things that matter, the business setup, so I choose WordPress as I have a fair bit of experiences with it.

Another thing which was clear for me, is that I wanted as little unnecessary things in my system as possible, so tried to use barely any plugins in the making.

I am glad that I chose this path as it was only about a day’s worth of work and it turned out pretty good.

Look around and keep an eye out for future changes.

One of my long-time goals is to make a game and release it. In 2022 I started to walk on the road leading to it. I learned to use Unity and Blender and created a prototype turn-based game as a learning project.

    3D Printed and Hand-Painted Statue

I am thrilled to share my experience creating my very first 3D printed and hand-painted Sauron statue! Standing 16 cm tall and weighing nearly 400 grams, this Gambody model was an ambitious project for me, especially as it was my first time working with SLA 3D printing on such a large scale.

The process was not without its challenges. From the intricate assembly to navigating the finer details of the print, every step taught me something new. The assembly turned out to be more complex than expected, testing my patience and problem-solving skills. However, the painting process was a delight—it gave me a chance to explore new techniques and truly relax while bringing the model to life.

This project wasn’t just about printing and painting; it also introduced me to packaging, a surprisingly instructive part of the journey. The statue was made as a gift for a friend, and seeing their happiness and appreciation made all the effort worthwhile.

Without their encouragement, I might not have taken on this project. Now, I see this as the beginning of a creative journey that’s both challenging and fulfilling. I’m excited about the opportunities this opens up and look forward to tackling more projects in the future.

Here’s to more creations and the joy they bring!
